Twinworks MMS Driver
Privacy Policy
Effective August 17, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Twinworks Solutions Inc. ("Twinworks," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information through the Twinworks MMS Driver iOS application and the related Twinworks services. The app is designed for authorized field personnel who collect and manage geospatial survey data for an organization or workspace.
2. Information We Collect
Account and Authentication Information
We collect the email address and user identifier associated with an account. A password is transmitted to the configured Twinworks service when a user registers or signs in, but the iOS app does not store the password. The app stores an authentication token in the iOS Keychain and limited account information on the device.
Precise and Background Location
During an active tracking, field capture, LiDAR, or vision session, the app may collect precise latitude and longitude, altitude, accuracy, speed, heading, location source, floor information, and timestamps. When the user authorizes background location, an active route-recording session may continue while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Location may be stored on the device, buffered for later delivery, and transmitted to the configured Twinworks service.
Photos, Video, and Audio
When a user starts a field capture, the app collects the photos or videos the user records and related capture information, such as time, location, and device orientation. Videos may include microphone audio. These files may be stored in the app's local storage and uploaded to the selected organization workspace.
Motion, LiDAR, and Vision Data
During supported capture sessions, the app may collect accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, camera orientation, and device-pose information. On compatible devices, it may create LiDAR point clouds with location and heading anchors. Vision features may create object labels, confidence values, bounding boxes, camera poses, detection tracks, and selected frame imagery. These data support geospatial positioning, object localization, and three-dimensional processing.
Device and App Information
The app may send Apple's vendor-scoped device identifier with field or LiDAR uploads. It also stores app preferences, server configuration, delivery queues, and project or session records on the device. We do not use the advertising identifier for these functions.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- create and authenticate accounts and maintain secure sessions;
- record field routes, display coverage, and support route navigation;
- capture, align, upload, process, and display survey media and geospatial data;
- perform object detection, localization, and three-dimensional processing;
- maintain offline delivery and synchronize data with the selected workspace;
- secure, operate, troubleshoot, and improve the app and related services; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce service agreements.
Twinworks MMS Driver does not contain third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and Twinworks does not use app data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
4. How Information Is Disclosed
Data submitted to a workspace may be available to the organization that controls that workspace, including its administrators and authorized users. Twinworks personnel and service providers may access information where reasonably necessary to host, secure, support, or operate the service. Service providers are required to protect information consistently with their obligations to Twinworks and applicable law.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards, or at the direction of the organization controlling the workspace. We do not authorize service providers to use app data for their own advertising or cross-app tracking.
5. Storage and Retention
The app stores account details, tracking queues, project records, captures, and related files on the device as needed to provide its functions, including offline operation. Uploaded data is retained according to the requirements of the organization that controls the relevant project or workspace and Twinworks' legal and operational obligations.
Organization-controlled project and survey records may remain until a project or workspace administrator deletes them. Those records may remain after an individual user leaves an organization or requests deletion of an individual account. Residual copies may remain in backups or security records until they are overwritten or no longer required. We do not promise a fixed retention period where the controlling organization determines the project lifecycle.
6. Your Choices and Requests
Users can stop an active capture or tracking session in the app. Camera, microphone, motion, precise location, and background location permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related capture feature from working. Signing out removes the active authentication state from the app but does not necessarily delete project data from the device or service.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, email michael@twinworks.ai. We may need to verify the request and coordinate with the organization that controls the workspace. A request may be limited by organization ownership, contractual requirements, security needs, legal obligations, and the backup lifecycle described above.
7. Security and Transfers
Twinworks uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. The app transmits data to the configured service using network security provided by iOS and the service endpoint. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security. A user who enables an experimental custom server is responsible for confirming that server's operator and privacy practices.
8. Children
Twinworks MMS Driver is a professional field-work application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or use the app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service or app notice when required.
